Gather In Style
I cannot believe September is here already! I’m still soaking up every bit of summer. Our garden is still producing tomatoes, onions, and lima beans. On my list to do is harvest the basil, sage, parsley, and basil so I will have that through the winter.
bon COOK has a NEW PRODUCT guide. This is so helpful. There is so much information on all of the FORTEEZ line, plus the FRENCH PANTRY items. Make sure to take a look!
September is here already…
Homemade Applesauce
This is my favorite way to make fresh applesauce that requires no time at all. It is a quick side to a Fall meal, and it's also perfect to make for baby food. I do not add any sugar, as the apples have natural sugar.
Maple Cinnamon Butternut Squash
It’s not fall without butternut squash! Check out our favorite way to serve sweet Butternut Squash!
Creamed Corn with Bacon and Leeks
Hopefully you have some fresh corn to make this recipe. It doesn't take long and it's a delicious side that pairs well with grilled chicken. Do not be intimidated if you have never used a leek. I am including the how to's to walk you through.
Mom’s Baked Beans
These were always a summer staple in the summer for picnics and the house smelled so good when they were cooking. We always took a canoe trip with another family on July 4th every year, and my mom always made fried chicken and baked beans.
Deviled Eggs
There are so many ways to make deviled eggs. I am including step by step photos to be helpful. Deviled eggs are a staple for our family during the summer months and really all year long at family gatherings!
Spring Veggies Snack Tray
This is so fun to make and the colors are beautiful. Customize your own creation with your favorite veggies and cheese. This is perfect to serve at a shower or to take to a gathering.
Mexican Street Corn Dip
Flavors of feta, cilantro, chili powder, garlic and lime juice. A perfect appetizer to share with friends!
Colorful Cobb Salad
This is a fun way to make a salad, and this one will serve several. Add your favorite ingredients to make it your own and your tastes.
Mini Carrot Stuffed Peppers
How fun are these stuffed peppers? Perfect for Easter and I will make these just for snacking. These can even be made with kids in the kitchen.
Beer Cornbread
This cornbread recipe is from my daughter-n-law. It's delicious! It is so easy to mix up, and cornbread is good any time of year to me.
Asparagus & Prosciutto Bundles
Here is an easy appetizer that can be served for brunch, Easter or Mother's Day. These are good leftovers for lunch too. Puff pastry is so easy to work with and it is light and flaky. You can use it for sweet or savory recipes.
Dill Bread
I love to make this bread in the wintertime, but I should make it any time of the year. This is a favorite recipe. It's not hard to make, so do not be afraid to try it. It's the perfect bread to go along with a bowl of soup or use for a sandwich too.
Roasted Veggies
There is nothing like roasted veggies. If you are trying to add in more veggies to your life, this is the way to do it. Roasting veggies brings out their natural sweetness. Maybe there is a vegetable you are not fond of. Roasting can change your mind. I do not care for raw cauliflower, but when it's roasted it's delicious!
