Turnip Fries

I have been wanting to try turnip fries for quite some time. I tried these out for an appetizer for a few family members.  They were pleasantly surprised.

The turnips are found in the produce section by the bagged carrots.  They look exactly the same except they are white.  These are an alternative for french fries but with fewer carbs and baked in the oven.  If you have never tried a turnip, it is a cross between a radish and a potato.  Turnips are a good source of Vitamin C and calcium.

I also found a bottle of sugar free ketchup that was quite good, or a ranch dip would be tasty.
