Brown Sugar Peppered Bacon

Tools used: Perforated Baking Sheet, Flexiflat, FRENCH PANTRY Pep Rally

Ingredients

  • 8-10 slices of thick sliced bacon

  • 1/4 brown sugar

  • FRENCH PANTRY Vietnam Pepper (from the Pep Rally)

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place the Flexiflat on the Perforated Baking Sheet.

  • Lay the bacon on the Flexiflat.

  • Sprinkle the bacon with the brown sugar and press the sugar into the bacon.

  • Sprinkle the pepper over the bacon. Bake for 20 or until desired crispness.

  • Carefully remove pieces from the Flexiflat and place on a wire cooling rack.

    * This bacon recipe will impress everyone! It has the combination of sweet and salty with the brown sugar and pepper. I like to make if for brunches, and it has been a favorite at brunch cooking classes. Make sure to cool the bacon on a cooling rack and not paper towels, as it will stick very well to the paper towels. You could put paper towels under the cooling rack to catch the extra grease.
