Halftime Chili

This is a one pan chili recipe that can be made in under 30 minutes!  I like this recipe because you can customize it to your own taste.  Add spicy tomatoes, your choice of beans, even a chopped jalapeno.  Serve with your favorite toppings of green onions, jalapeno, corn chips, shredded cheese, and sour cream.  This is fun to do a chili bar for game night or the Super Bowl.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey

  • 1 white onion

  • 2 cloves mixed garlic

  • 1 can diced tomatoes (undrained)

  • 1 can beans of choice, undrained (black, pinto, kidney)

  • 1 Tablespoon FRENCH PANTRY Zesty Mediterranean Herb Blend

  • 1-2 teaspoons of cumin

  • 1-2 Tablespoons of chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt


Directions

Chop the onion in the Eco Chop.  Mince the garlic in the Mini Herb Chopper. Place the meat, onion, and garlic in the Large Round Mold on a microwave safe plate.  Cover with the Octagonal Bonmat and microwave on high for 3 minutes.  Remove from the microwave and crumble the meat mixture.  Return to the microwave for 2-3 minutes until cooked through. Let cool slightly then fold the mold in half and drain excess liquid.  

Add the tomatoes, beans, and spices combining thoroughly.  Cover with Octagonal Bonmat and return to the microwave for 8-10 minutes or place the Large Round Mold into the crockpot on high until ready to serve.
