bonCook tools used:

Perforated Baking Sheet, bonmat, Star shaped Dough Cutters

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated breadstick dough (I used pizza dough)

  • 2 packages -16 hot dogs

  • 16 thick slices colby cheese

  • 16 skewers

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place bonmat on Perforated Baking Sheet.

  2. First take your skewers and stick them all the way through the hot dogs leaving about one to two inches exposed out of the top of each hot dog.

  3. Then take a piece of breadstick dough and carefully wrap it around the hot dog until you get to the top.

  4. Place wrapped dogs on the bonmat and bake for 20 minutes.

  5. While the hot dogs are cooking, take out the cheese slices. Then using the small star shaped dough cutter, cut out the stars.

  6. You can go to your grocery deli counter and ask for them to slice pieces of cheese that are 1/2"-3/8 thick.

I used a pail with styrofoam hidden by curled ribbon to display the hotdogs, or layer them on top of each other on a platter.

These are so fun and simple to make! Fun for kids and adults. Make a fun hot dog bar with all the toppings, or try one of the new FRENCH PANTRY Mustards.
