Mango Salsa

bonCook tools used: Santoku Chef Knife, Eco Chop, Citrus Press, FRENCH PANTRY Sel Gris Salt

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe mangos, diced

  • 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped

  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion

  • 1/4 cup packed fresh cilantro leaves, chopped

  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced

  • 1 large, lime, juiced

  • 1/8-1/4 teaspoon FRENCH PANTRY Sel Gris Salt

Directions

  1. In a serving bowl, combine the prepared mang, bell pepper, onion, cilantro and jalapeno.  Use the Eco Chop for the onion, cilantro and jalapeno.  

  2. Drizzle with the juice of the lime.  

  3. Stir to combine the ingredients together.  Season to taste with salt, and stir again.  For the best flavor, let the salsa rest for 10 minutes or longer.  

  4. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips.  

bonTip: This salsa has all of the colors of summer and it tastes so fresh.  This can be served by itself with tortilla chips, or served over fish or chicken.  It's very easy to prepare and can be made early in the day for the best melding of flavors to serve later.  Perfect for an evening on the deck or patio paired with your favorite beverage.
