Salted Caramel Bars

bon Cook products used: Perforated Baking Sheet, Square Flexipat Mold, Natural bon Salt, Mini Offset Spatula

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tsp vanilla

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 cup Caramel Bits

  • 1 Tbsp Natural bon Salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Place the Square Flexipat Mold on a Perforated Baking Sheet, set aside.

  3. Cream butter, brown sugar, and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla until fully incorporated. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until combined. Fold in Caramel Bits until evenly distributed. Spread evenly in the bottom of the Square Flexipat.

  4. Bake for 15-17 minutes or until baked through. Once removed from the oven, sprinkle the Natural bon Salt flakes evenly across the surface.

  5. Allow to cool completely and slice into a square, or fun shapes.

These are a favorite at every cooking class with the combination of sweet and salty. The caramel reminds me of Fall, and they are easy to make for any occasion or yourself! The Mini Offset Spatula works well to spread the batter into the Square Flexipat Mold. The Caramel Bits are found in the baking aisle with the chocolate chips.
